Millbrook grows three clones of Cabernet Franc on the estate, Clones 623, 327, and 214, each bringing distinct character to the variety. In 2024, a dry and warm vintage with ideal conditions through the critical final two months of the growing season, Clone 623 produced fruit of exceptional concentration and ripeness across five blocks. Rather than blending it into the estate Cabernet Franc program, we kept it separate from harvest through aging to bottle it as a standalone expression and showcase what this clone, this site, and this exceptional vintage can produce. The result is a single-barrel selection of pure Hudson Valley Cabernet Franc at its most complete.
