It sits to the east of the driveway and just above the ponds, a distinctive position on the estate with plantings ranging from 2006 through 2020 that give the block a layered complexity from vines of varying age and maturity. The 2024 vintage was exactly the kind of dry, warm, perfectly ripening season that earns a single-block bottling its place on the table, and bringing Block 3 East back after nearly a decade felt like the right way to honor both the site and the tradition. The blend draws from Clones 623 and 327, each fermented and selected separately before being assembled into a two-barrel final wine.
